Trek 920

Picture of my Trek 920

My Trek 920 is a MTB that I built up mostly from used parts that I bought on the internet, locally, or already owned. The only new components used are the wheels, handlebar, and rear derailleur, and these were all bought on sale. The goal was to build a decent MTB at a low price (the end result cost about $300-$400). I chose the Trek 920 frameset because I wanted something which would be suitable for offroad touring, and this had fairly long chainstays and a rigid fork. It is a bit heavy, but well built and uses a high quality tubeset (True Temper OX Comp). It also helped that it was inexpensive at my local used bike shop and fits me very well.

I have more bicycle information on my main bike page.
