Project Estimates

I have chosen to use a type of decomposition to relay estimates on our project. All means of estimation for LOC or FP, or even Effort estimations each require so historical data. Since we have none, I am using my own means of estimation. I will assign each function or feature,decomposed from the project as a whole, a rating on my opinion of its difficulty. By all honesty I do not know enough about the software to generate time estimates that would be anything more than blatent and unscientific guesswork. There are eight total functions and features, and each will be numberd 1 through 8. 1, being the easiest and 8 being the hardest.

      1.  Output (printing)
      2.  Mulitiple Roles
      3.  Relating Goals
      4.  Role Priority
      5.  Relating Tasks to Roles/Goals
      6.  Setable Policies
      7.  Prioritize Tasks
      8.  Scheduling Algorithm

Project Risks

The risk identification for our project is as follows: Inexperience with software. Incompatible schedules. Shaky hardware. My estimation of the risks the biggest of all is the inexperience factor. This could be our major hinderence. The next is the hardware, and with that is scheduling problems, but this should not amount to much. Hopefully!
