    In eleven years with I. S. Wolfe & Partners, I progressed from junior analyst to the most senior employee, responsible for daily monitoring and updating of the Partnership's database of the financial filings of up to 1400 corporations, placing of daily trades with our brokers, and other portfolio management activities, all in a fast-paced, lightly supervised environment.

    Following the sudden death of the General Partner, Irving Wolfe, in January, 2001, I liquidated the Partnership's stock investments, as required by the Partnership Agreement, and documented certain intellectual property of the Partnership, e.g. writing instructions for the operation of proprietary databases and software, and documenting our standards for interpretation of financial statements, especially where these differ from GAAP.

    Elected officer of the Vashon-Maury Island Community Council, a King County Unincorporated Area Community Council, representing approximately 11,000 residents in their dealings with each other and with various levels of government, from the County to federal agencies. (The Council, incorporated in 1933, operates as a town hall forum for social and political issues related to Vashon and Maury Islands.)

    For most of my four terms in office, I served as Clerk of the Council. In this position I worked to improve the transparency of Council operations and increase public awareness of the issues before the Council. I developed the Council's first web site, served as VMICC webmaster, and continue as administrator of the VMICC's public email discussion list.
